Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 10, 2026
By downloading, installing, or using the ZAM Calendar app, or by accessing this website, you agree to the collection and use of information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the app or this website.
This Privacy Policy explains how Dama Code For Information Technology ("Dama Code", "we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use ZAM Calendar (the "app") or this website.
Information We Handle
Account and device information
We create and manage an app account using Firebase to operate ZAM Calendar. The account includes a unique identifier and, when iCloud is available, an identifier provided by Apple. We use these identifiers to provide the app, backup, support, security, and related services. Although they do not tell us your name or ordinary email address, they may be treated as personal data under applicable law.
We also handle information such as app and iOS version, device model, language, app settings, notification registration information, and information needed to protect requests and diagnose problems.
Your calendar setup and shift information
We handle the information you choose to use in ZAM Calendar, such as selected country, company, sector, and preferences. This preference information is stored on your device and, to provide backup and related app services, is also stored in Firebase.
Your shift schedule itself — including shift names, work patterns, start dates, and rotation details — is stored only on your device and is not uploaded to our servers. The only shift-related signal we store in Firebase is a general category describing how a shift was created (a custom pattern you built, a fixed regular schedule, or a pre-made example), which we use to understand feature usage. This category does not include your shift names, dates, patterns, or any other schedule details.
If iCloud is available on your device, ZAM Calendar can use Apple’s CloudKit service, tied to your own private iCloud account, to keep your locally stored shift and preference information in sync between your devices signed in to the same Apple account. This sync happens directly through your private iCloud storage, and we do not have access to it. Apple manages iCloud and CloudKit under its own privacy practices.
Apple Calendar and widgets
If you choose to connect Apple Calendar, the app asks for calendar permission and lets you choose which calendars to show. The app and widget use information from those selected calendars, such as event title and date, to display your schedule. The app can also create a “Zam Calendar” and use Apple’s native controls when you create, view, edit, or delete events.
Apple Calendar information is processed on your device. We do not intentionally send the content of your calendar events to our servers. Apple may sync calendar information through iCloud according to your Apple settings. Event information can appear in a widget when you choose to display it.
Notifications
If you allow notifications, we use Firebase Cloud Messaging to register your device for remote notifications. The notification registration information is connected to your technical app account.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are purchased and managed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles payment information, billing, refunds, and cancellations. We keep limited subscription information, such as access status, product type, renewal status, and relevant dates, so that we can provide and support paid access.
App improvement and reliability
We use Firebase Analytics provided by Google, to understand how the app is used and to find and fix problems. This can include technical information, app activity, feature interactions, and diagnostic information. When you create a shift, analytics records only the general creation method used (a custom pattern, a fixed regular schedule, or a pre-made example) — we do not send shift names, patterns, dates, or other schedule details to analytics. Please do not enter sensitive information, such as names, medical information, addresses, or account numbers, in any field in the app, including shift names, labels, or other text fields.
Support
If you contact us or send a company-calendar file, we receive the information and attachments you choose to send. The in-app support email may include limited technical details, including unique app and iCloud identifiers, device information, and app version, to help us identify and support your app account. You can review and edit the email before sending it.
How We Use Information
We use information to provide the calendar, shift, holiday, widget, backup, subscription, notification, and support features; keep the app secure; improve reliability and usability; diagnose problems; prevent abuse; comply with law; and protect our users and service.
Who Helps Us Provide the App
We use third-party service providers to help operate, maintain, and improve ZAM Calendar, such as:
- Google Firebase: app accounts, data storage, notifications, analytics, crash reporting, remote settings, and security checks. For more information, see Firebase Privacy and Security and the Firebase Terms of Service.
- Apple: iOS, Apple Calendar, iCloud and CloudKit, notifications, App Store, and StoreKit. For more information, see the Apple Privacy Policy and Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions.
- YouTube/Google: if you choose to open a tutorial or help link, YouTube handles your visit under its own policies. For more information, see the Google Privacy Policy, Google Terms of Service, and YouTube Terms of Service.
- Your email provider: when you send us an email through your chosen email app. Your provider’s own privacy policy and terms apply to that email service.
We may also share information when necessary to comply with law, respond to a lawful request, protect safety or rights, investigate security or abuse, or complete a business transfer. We do not sell personal data.
Provider links are provided for convenience and may change over time. If a link is unavailable or no longer works, please refer to the provider’s official website for the most current privacy policy, terms, and related information.
The providers listed above are examples and may not include every service, affiliate, subprocessor, infrastructure provider, or third party used by those providers to deliver their services. These providers and their related services may change over time.
Service Availability
ZAM Calendar is available only in the countries and regions where we choose to distribute it through the official Apple App Store. Availability may depend on Apple’s regional storefronts, App Store settings, Apple Account country or region settings, and legal or business requirements.
If the app is not officially available in your country or region, you are not authorized to access, install, or use it through unofficial, modified, bypassed, jailbroken, rooted, sideloaded, or otherwise unauthorized methods.
We do not guarantee the security, privacy, reliability, availability, or proper operation of the app when it is accessed or used outside its official App Store availability or through any unauthorized method. If this applies to you, stop using the app, delete it, and wait until it becomes officially available in your region through the Apple App Store.
Feature Availability by Country and Region
Not every ZAM Calendar feature is available, identical, or fully supported in every country or region. For example, the Overtime feature currently supports specific countries only, other features and calendar content may also vary depending on the country you select in the app.
After installing the app, please open it and select your country so the app can show you the version and features we support for your country or region. It is your responsibility to check the app and confirm which features are available and supported for your selected country before relying on them.
International Processing
Dama Code is based in Saudi Arabia. We and our service providers may process information in Saudi Arabia, the United States, and other countries where we or our providers operate. These countries may have different data-protection laws from the country where you live.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep app-account, preference, notification, subscription, operational, and support information for as long as reasonably needed to provide the app, resolve problems or disputes, comply with law, or respond to a verified deletion request. Provider backups, security logs, App Store records, and Apple-managed iCloud records may remain for a limited time under the provider’s practices or the law.
Your Choices and Privacy Rights
You can edit or remove shift and preference information in the app, manage calendar and notification permissions in iOS Settings, manage subscriptions through your Apple account, and choose whether to send support email or attachments.
You can request deletion of the Firebase account and data that Dama Code controls by emailing support@zamcalendar.com with the subject “ZAM Calendar Delete My Data.” We may ask for information needed to identify the relevant app account and verify the request. Apple manages data held in your private iCloud or CloudKit account; you can manage that data through the app and Apple’s device and iCloud controls.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal data, withdraw consent where it applies, and complain to a data-protection authority. To make a request, contact support@zamcalendar.com. If you are located in the EEA or UK, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. EEA users may contact the supervisory authority in the country where they live, work, or where they believe an infringement occurred. UK users may contact the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
Legal Bases for EEA and UK Users
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process information to provide the app and requested features, meet legal obligations, protect the app and its users, and improve the service. Depending on the activity, we rely on performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate interests, legal obligations, or consent where applicable.
This section applies only where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies and does not mean that ZAM Calendar is available in every EEA or UK country or region. Please refer to the Service Availability section to confirm where the app is officially available.

Children
ZAM Calendar is not designed to knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact us so we can review the matter and take appropriate action.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information. However, no app, network, cloud service, device, or method of transmission or storage can be completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
We also cannot guarantee the security, reliability, or proper operation of the app if it is used on a jailbroken, rooted, modified, or otherwise compromised device; if iOS, Apple, or App Store security protections are bypassed; if the app is downloaded from an unofficial source; or if the app is modified, tampered with, reverse engineered, or used in a way that violates our terms or normal app operation.
You are responsible for maintaining access to your device, Apple account, email account, and any credentials you use with the app.
